In addition, we will discuss admissions positioning strategies that will encourage students to take a deeper introspective into academics, extracurricular activities, interests, and talents.

This session will teach students how to present themselves to a college admissions committee in the most positive and effective way.

Overview:

If you’re looking for the total package, Countdown to College for High School Seniors covers it all! This comprehensive package takes students and parents through the entire college planning and application process including:

  • Review of testing schedule for standardized tests
  • Identify a list of recommended target, reach, and safety schools that match the interests, abilities, goals, and needs of the student

College Planning and Readiness Bootcamp

Overview:

This comprehensive and interactive bootcamp will teach participants how to successfully navigate the college planning process. All aspects of the college planning process are covered, including but not limited to:

  • Career exploration
  • Selecting a college
  • College planning timeline
  • College visitations
  • The college application process
  • College essay writing
  • Financial aid / scholarships

Outcome:

This bootcamp will prepare students for the transition from high school to college.

Audience:

The College Planning and Readiness Bootcamp is designed for a wide range of groups, including but not limited to: high school students, charter schools, after-school programs, summer youth programs, teachers, school counselors, and employer training programs.

Term:

60-minute classroom or virtual session

Group Size:

A maximum of 25 participants (in-person) to allow for a more personalized experience. Virtual sessions will allow up to 100 participants.
